- 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken
- 6 cups chicken broth
- 2 tomatillos, husked and quartered
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 can green chiles
- 1 cup hominy, drained and rinsed
- Salt and pepper to taste
- In a large pot, combine chicken broth, tomatillos, onion, garlic, cumin, and oregano. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes, until tomatillos are tender.
