  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  4. Combine flour, salt, and baking powder; gradually add to the creamed mixture.
  5. Spread half of the dough into a greased baking dish.

  7. Drop the remaining dough by spoonfuls over the cherry filling.
