Creamy Smothered Chicken and Rice

  • 4 pieces chicken breasts
  • 1 cup rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup cream
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 cup grated cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, melt butter and sear the chicken breasts until golden brown.
  3. Remove chicken and add rice, broth, cream, and seasonings to the skillet.
  4. Stir well and place the chicken on top.
  5. Sprinkle cheese and cover with a lid or foil.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until chicken is fully cooked.
  7. Serve hot.

Notes

  • For extra creaminess, add more cream.
  • Leftover chicken works well too.
