  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups peeled and diced apples
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter, milk, and eggs.
  4. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients until just mixed.
  5. Fold in the diced apples and nuts if using.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  8. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For a sweeter bread, add a glaze made from powdered sugar and milk on top.
  • Can be served warm or at room temperature.
