- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup cocoa powder
- 4 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
- 1 cup mini marshmallows
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter and stir in sugar and cocoa powder.
- Remove from heat and beat in eggs, one at a time, followed by vanilla.
- Stir in the flour, baking powder, and salt until just combined. Fold in walnuts if using.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
- In the last 5 minutes of baking, sprinkle mini marshmallows on top.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
