Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix the brown sugar with melted butter until smooth.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla to the sugar mixture, mixing well.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  9. Let cool before cutting into squares.
