  • 4 pieces chicken cutlets
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups vegetable oil (for frying)
  • 1 cup tonkatsu sauce
  • 4 cups cooked rice
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage

Instructions

  1. Prepare three shallow dishes for the flour, eggs, and panko breadcrumbs.
  2. Dredge the chicken in flour, dip in eggs, and coat with panko.
  3. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and fry the chicken until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Serve the fried chicken over rice, topped with tonkatsu sauce and shredded cabbage.

Notes

  • For extra crunch, double coat the chicken.
  • Pair with pickled vegetables for added flavor.
