  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 jar (24 ounces) marinara sauce
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the ziti pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in the marinara sauce and bring to a simmer.
  5. In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, eggs, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  6. In a 9×13 inch baking dish, spread a layer of the meat sauce on the bottom.
  7. Add half of the cooked ziti, followed by half of the ricotta mixture, and half of the mozzarella cheese.
  8. Repeat the layers, finishing with the remaining mozzarella cheese on top.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes, or until bubbly and golden.
  10. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
  • For extra flavor, add some chopped fresh herbs to the ricotta mixture.
