One Pot Cajun Chicken Alfredo Orzo – Flavor in Every Bite!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Cajun seasoned chicken breast
  • 2 cups orzo pasta
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the Cajun seasoned chicken breast and cook until browned.
  3. Remove chicken, then add garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and orzo pasta.
  4. Stir to coat the pasta in the spices, then add chicken broth and heavy cream.
  5. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until the orzo is cooked.
  6. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.
  7. Return the chicken to the pot to heat through.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For extra spice, add some cayenne pepper.
  • Feel free to substitute the chicken with shrimp for a different flavor profile.
