  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar (for topping)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. In another bowl, combine brown sugar, granulated sugar, eggs, apple cider, and vegetable oil.
  4. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. While the loaf is baking, mix sugar and cinnamon for the topping.
  8. Once the loaf is baked, let it cool for 10 minutes before removing it from the pan.
  9. While still warm, brush the top with butter and dip it in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  10. Let cool completely before slicing.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, add chopped apples to the batter.
  • This loaf can be served warm or at room temperature.
