Swiss Bacon Mushroom Meatloaf – Cheesy & Hearty Classic

This Swiss Bacon Mushroom Meatloaf is a cheesy and hearty classic comfort food that is perfect for family dinners.

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 pound bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup mushrooms, diced
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook chopped bacon until crispy. Drain and set aside.
  3. Sauté mushrooms and onions in the bacon fat until soft.
  4. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, bacon, sautéed mushrooms and onions, Swiss cheese, eggs, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Mix until combined and shape into a loaf.
  6. Place the meatloaf in a baking dish and bake for 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).

Notes

  • Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
