- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 pound bacon, chopped
- 1 cup mushrooms, diced
- 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, cook chopped bacon until crispy. Drain and set aside.
- Sauté mushrooms and onions in the bacon fat until soft.
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, bacon, sautéed mushrooms and onions, Swiss cheese, eggs, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Mix until combined and shape into a loaf.
- Place the meatloaf in a baking dish and bake for 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
Notes
- Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
